10 Traits that My Dog and I Share
10 Traits that My Dog and I Share
Every once in a while you get the perfect Father’s Day card from someone special. I’ve had my dog for two years and we have grown very close. People say that pets take on the characteristics of their owners and in this case it is very true.
This is the content of the card I received from my dog, who is truly a man’s best friend.
List of 10 traits that my dog and I share (as printed in the card):
10. We both like to stick our heads out the car window and bark at other drivers.
9. There’s nothing more comforting to us than napping in front of the TV.
8. Others get impatient waiting for us to finish going potty.
7. We’ve both been in the doghouse at one time or another.
6. We make warm, furry bed partners.
5. Sometimes we beg for extra scraps of food.
4. You fix things, I’m a fixed thing.
3. We both like to sit around and scratch ourselves.
2. We whine if we’re not let out of the house to play once in a while.
And the number 1 way you and I are alike…
1. Given a choice, we’d rather just lie around and do nothing but eat and sleep all day (I’m up for that if you are!).
Happy Fathers Day from the Dog
PS. Thanks for the T-Bone.

So true and downright funny.
I am, however, a bit concerned that you might truly stick your head out the car window and bark at other drivers. You posted earlier that you're teaching your son to drive.
My My My! That would certainly be a bad example to be set.

It's not the barking I mind...it's when he turns his head to look at the girls...and swerves out of his lane...that is the most dangerous.

Simple needs, huh? I think we could all dial it down to dog-level and be just fine.

Such a clever card--that was great! When it comes right down to it, dogs really know how to live right, don't they? HA! Hope you had a happy father's day.

It's a dog's life.

To really enjoy it...all I have to do is win the lottery.
